Circles
form a sharing circle, exchange conversations with the crowd
The circle is a social model with ancient roots: a group of people, all equal, all facing a common center, gathered to share and learn as one. Convene a Holoscopic circle to share regularly, or for a set time around one question. When a conversation strikes a chord, offer it to other circles. Circle by circle, that is how a culture talks to itself.
- ProposeAnyone puts a question to the circle. It starts when a third of the circle backs it, so nobody commits the room’s attention alone.
- AnswerEveryone answers once, on their own time, in voice or in writing: a story, a place on an axis, both at once, or a word from a shared set.
- RevealAnswers show as they arrive, or stay sealed until the last person has spoken. Then the circle sees where it landed, on its own ring.
- KeepWhat a circle makes, it keeps: a wall of stories, a map of where everyone stands, a portrait in the group’s own words.
- ShareOffer your most interesting prompts to the community of circles, so a question that worked in your room can be run in someone else’s.
Where circles went
Circles ran at circles.holoscopic.io through the late summer of 2026. What it learned became ferment: small circles answering one good question at a time, and communities that grow from what they pass on.
